Yellow Pound Cake -- No icing needed
INGREDIENTS
* 2 2/3 cups white sugar
* 2 cups butter
* 8 eggs
* 8 tablespoons milk
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 3 1/2 cups cake flour
DIRECTIONS
1. Separate the eggs. Beat the whites to stiff peaks, and reserve the yolks.
2. In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter or margarine. Beat in egg yolks. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour, 1 cup at a time. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour batter into well greased large tube pan.
3. Bake for 90 minutes at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

You didn't say whether or not you have cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda or vegetable oil. If you have some Hersey's Cocoa on hand, as well as the other ingredients, there's a fabulous cake recipe on the container for Hershey's "Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Cake. It's really easy and comes out great. I like to serve it with a mocha frosting.

put 2 sticks of butter, 3 cups sugar, half cup crisco oil, mix together than add 1egg at a time using 5eggs mix in half teaspoon of salt. u need half cup of can milk with half water to make a whole cup. 3 cup of all purpose flours pour little by little in the bowl mix till it mixes in milk and flour little by little then u add your flavoring 1 tablespoon. grease bunt pan and flour it. pour cake mix in bunt pan and put into cold oven then turn on the oven to 325. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR UNTIL ONE HOUR IS UP ONE HOUR. cake must bake at least two hours. this is a pound cake recipe

Basic Sponge Cake Recipe

Serves/Makes: 10
Ingredients:
1 cup Sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3 Eggs, separated
1 cup Sugar, divided
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1/4 cup Water
2 Egg whites
Directions:
Combine cake flour, baking powder, and salt, stir well and set aside. Beat 3 egg yolks in a large mixing bowl at high speed of an electric mixer for 1 minute. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating constantly until egg yolks are thick and pale, about 5 minutes. Add vanilla and 1/4 cup water, beating at low speed until well blended. Add flour mixture to egg yolk mixture beating at low speed until blended and set aside. Beat 5 egg whites at room temperature at high speed until foamy. Gradually add remaining 1/4 cup sugar, 1 Tablespoon at a time, beating until still peaks form. Gently stir one fourth of the egg white mixture into the batter. Gently fold in the remaining egg white mixture. Pour batter into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in center.
Invert pan; cool 45 minutes. Loosen cake from sides of pan, remove.
Top with berries, or just a dusting of powder sugar.
