you will find all the biblical proscriptions against incest. A man is forbiden to have sex with his mother, his wifes mother, his sister, his aunt, with an animal, with another man, with a woman on her period, or even his daughter in law. But you know whats missing. His daughter. There is no mention that a man can not have sex with his daughter. Why not? He names everybody else?

It says her daughter, Not your daughter. And god was nitpicking on everything else but left this out. Perplexing.

possession is 9/10ths of the law, right?
it's all over the old and new testament, Taliban like inferences to women as less than human or not equal to a man, even though Gen 1 has us created same time and before animals, Gen 2 is where doctrine is inserted and directly conflicts '100% word of god' with out of order creation story innaccuracies

Female Inferiority
"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (I Corinthians 11:3)
"For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (I Corinthians 11:8-9)
Comment
The Bible's decree of male supremacy has kept woman inferior to men for centuries. For the religious, it comes as a sad fact that a human must have a penis to receive any respect or power within the Church.
All woman should realize that such phrases in the Bible has justified for many Christian men, not only their supremacy but a reason to sexually abuse women.

It is very interesting that you should comment upon it. It is in Chapter 20 (I am reading NIV) and you are correct. But the Lord proceeded his dissertation by stating "Consecrate yourselves and be holy, becaise I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord who makes you Holy". I noticed it didn't mention daughters or SONS. Maybe when the Lord discussed incest he assumed His people were intelligent enough to understand to leave the daughters/sons alone. Also, always remember that we are to go on faith. Part of our Bible was burned in the 5th century by the Catholics and thru the translation process we may be missing parts. That's why in the Corinthians, Paul discusses faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is LOVE. Whomever would desecrate and daughter or son could not possibly love and love has been conveyed throughout the Bible. I hope this helps. Now, I should know but there were two daughters punished in the Bible for getting their father intoxicated and molesting him with the intent of pregnancy. God wasn't thrilled, I remember that. Additionally, in 18:6 it states, "No one is to approach any CLOSE relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord".

I believe it goes this way. The father has a wife, therefore the father is not to comit adultery. Too have sex with anyone other than his wife is a sin. What you see spelled out is not to the father but to men in general. Listen to the scripture: The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother; thy shall not uncover her nakedness. Everything is related to the honor of the father.

I don't know why a daughter would be excluded from the list.
So the god that christians worship, is a father who has sexual relations with his son. Leviticus calls this incest - thats what I call it to, and why I am an unbeliever of the christian god.

Because at that time people were not degenerate enough to even imagine such a disgusting, horrible act. It would be like commanding people not to play on the freeway today. (They already get it.)
But today, we have to tell humans practically everything because they think that they have the right to do anything that crosses their minds. Like abortion, incest, child abuse, and other crimes against children.

Read it again. You can't have sex with a woman AND her daughter. If she's your daughter (even stepdaughter)...... you had sex with her mother.
REPLY- I was a bit surprised as I read this earlier this year...but
LOL- Again... if she's YOUR daughter, you had sex with her mother at some point! (otherwise how did you conceive her?)

its covered under 18:6. the following ones are clarifications - they explain that these people are also considered to be your close relatives, just in case anybody might want to make a case that they are not.
