There are many times where Jesus said of Himself that He was God. He applied the name of God, "I AM," (Cf. Exodus 3:14) to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. (These examples are in the original Greek, not the English, as most English translations say "I am He," or "It is I.")

Further, Jesus received worship:

"Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, "You certainly are the Son of God!" (Matthew 14:33)

"Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" They went up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him." (Matthew 28:9)

"They worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy." (Luke 24:52)

"He said, "Lord, I do believe," and worshiped him." (John 9:38)

"I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea, and everything that is in them, saying, "To the one who sits on the throne and to the lamb be praise, honor, glory, and power forever and ever!" Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!", and the elders bowed down and worshiped." (Revelation 5:13-14)

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit also share attributes of God:

The Father is eternal (Psalm 90:2), and so is the Son (John 1:2), and so is the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14). Another shared attribute is their holiness. Only God is truly holy. The Father is holy (Revelation 15:4), so is the Son (Acts 3:14), and so is the Spirit (Acts 1:8).

From the foundation of the universe there was "God the Father", "God the Son", and "God the Holy Spirit". This is the "We" in Genesis chapter 1. Modern man calls this the “Trinity”, but you will not find this word in the Bible. There is only one God that is in three distinct persons. Sort of like a marriage, the three become one.

Psalm 51:11 lets us know that the Holy Spirit is the part of God that lives within us when we are saved (believers). We also know that the Holy Spirit is grieved when we sin and you are filled with the Holy Spirit when you are in His favor. Romans 5:5, And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Establishing the deity of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person "HE" not an "IT" as so many people say.

Jesus said that He is the one and only Son of God (John 3:16). Revelation 22:13. Jesus said, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Establishing the deity of Jesus.

Matthew 28:19, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. The trinity in three separate persons.

Jesus is God because He says He is God. Romans 14:10-11, For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' " Philippians 2:9-11. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Dear person, there will come a day when all of us will stand before God the Father and we will all bow and we will all confess that Jesus is Lord and each of us will give an account of our time here on earth. Each of us will give an account when we have led someone away from God. There is no place to hide and no one to stand in our place. Please, don't let anyone tell you Jesus is not God.

In Christianity, God is a Trinity. This means that God is three persons, not three gods. Technically, the doctrine of the Trinity states that in the one God is the person of the Father, the Son(Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each is not the same person as the other; yet there are not three gods but one. This is similar in analogy to the nature of time. Time is past, present, and future. The past is not the same as the present, which is not the same as the future. But, there are not three times. There is only one thing called time.
The reason the word "person" is used in describing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is because each exhibits attributes of personhood -- not in a body of flesh and bones, but in personality. In other words, each has a will, loves, speaks, is aware of others, communicates with others, etc. These are attributes of personhood and we see the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit each demonstrate these qualities.
Because of the Trinity, God can become flesh in the form of the Son, and still exist in such a way so that He can run the universe. Therefore, the Son(Jesus Christ) can communicate to us on our level.

I base it on various things found in the Bible. Here are a couple of examples:

1. YHWH created the heavens and the earth by himself; he was all alone (Isaiah 44:24).
2. Jesus created the heavens and the earth; he was with God (Colossians 1:15-17, John 1:1-3).
3. Therefore, Jesus is YHWH.

1. YHWH will not give his glory to another (Isaiah 42:8; 48:11).
2. Jesus shares God's glory (John 17:5, 5:23).
3. Therefore, Jesus is YHWH.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit are Gods. Example, your son (if you have kids) has your last name. Therefore he is what ever your last name is. If your last name is Jones, you are both Joneses. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus walked on earth He had done things that no other can do! No man never walk on water, resurrected from the dead after three days, feed a multitude of people etc...
You have to be a God to do these things. The Holy Spirit comes to Him as a white dove. No other man can do that! They are Gods, but the Father is the creator of all.

If your last name is Jones, and someone says "Your son is not a Jones" Of course you'll dispute it! You'll say, "He's my son. He's a Jones!"

God Bless

HE IS GOD, HE and the FATHER are One! Jesus is God,
the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God.

Why does this question come up every other day or so. Don't you know we believe in the Trinity! (even tho' the actual
word isn't in Scripture). Besides, being the Son of God means He IS GOD!

I'm not sure about others, but Christian Orthodox view God as "Father, Son and Holy Ghost"
That is our God
When we pray to God, we pray to the Father Son and Holy Ghost

Unlike many people say, The Son has always stood besides His Father, even before he came to earth in human form.

Because Jesus was God in human form. God wanted to be able to feel what it was like to be human, suffer like a human, etc. so he came to life in the form of Jesus. That's why he didn't save himself from the cross. He knew we couldn't do it, so he didn't do it either. He took it all the way to death so he would know what life (and death) were like for us.

Father, Son, Holy Spirit.....the trinity......three-in-one.

--TRUE CHRISTIANS would never say that for they would be contradicting Christ!

--IF HE IS GOD why would he say this to Mary Magdalene after he was totally dead 3 days?--

(John 20:15-18) 15 Jesus said to her: “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She, imagining it was the gardener, said to him: “Sir, if you have carried him off, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 16 Jesus said to her: “Mary!” Upon turning around, she said to him, in Hebrew: “Rab·bo′ni!” (which means “Teacher!”) 17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to MY FATHER(my caps) and YOUR Father and to MY GOD and YOUR God.’” 18 Mary Mag′da·lene came and brought the news to the disciples: “I have seen the Lord!” and that he said these things to her."

Jesus is the Son of God.

There are 31 misapplied, or mistranslated verses that are used to support the trinity doctrine.

Jesus is not God. He is however a god, but not God.
