I personally think it should hang from the back - you have better pull traction on it, doesn't rip off short accidentily as much.

It should hang over the top & down the front, like in hotels. Hanging down the back makes it rub against the wall, & what if the wall is dirty? Ew.

Most hotels and "fine" hostelries hang the paper "over the top." Having to fiddle with trying to find it hanging from behind is a pain in the butt. Having done house cleaning for nearly 12 years, I can also attest that 95% of the households where I have cleaned also have the paper "over the top."

It's a matter of preference. There was a study done that I heard referred on the radio that related the way you put the toilet paper on to personality type.

Front. Easier. Used to be from the back until a girlfriend henpecked me until I changed my ways.

It doesn't matter as long as there is toilet paper there and a spare roll if it runs out. Let it hang either way, it doesn't affect its purpose.

over the front. I always find it awkward if it's from the back and I usually end up switching it 'round.

if it hangs from the back and its to low you cant grip it or see it. its better anywhere from the front.
