why be upset? you know these people owe the money. You are just the messenger and Jesus even said "the poor shall be with you always:" Yes, it is not a good feeling having to do this but you don't think police are happy giving out all those tickets? They too know that some people will get their insurance rates raised and some will lose their license and even their jobs and bust up families but who is the one who broke the law?
Just do your job and if it bothers you that much..retrain for another job and quit when you find a suitable substitute...nobody likes the tax collector either but someone has to do this job too..you did not create the problem with people's financial problems ..you are just a messenger...good luck...

I don't want to be a wet noodle but jobs get even worse than what you are talking about! You are blessed enough to work with family. Just think what it will be like when your boss isn't family and hates your guts! My poor mother in law has been dealing with jealousy and hate for over a year at her job. I also had someone key my car and burn the inside panel for just hating me. I'm telling you, it gets worse. When family get on your nerves, you can tell them to bleep off but when you work for an asshole, you don't get the luxury. My advise is to be careful what you wish for, you just may get it! Also keep in mind there is no such thing as "better" only different. Work will always be work no matter how you tumble it around. Its a four letter word, what can I tell you. Just try to be thankful for the things you do have as opposed to not having. Good Luck.

Many of us have hated a job. However, being an adult means doing things you don't like to do for your own benefit and for that of your child. Do NOT leave a job and insurance while you are pregnant. NO WAY!!! Hang tough. Is an Internal transfer a possibility?
You are just doing your job. It isn't personal. You are not a bad person.
Take care and buck up.

If you are married, can your husband add you to his insurance policy so that you can change jobs.

Are there any other types of jobs within the company that you could apply for....say admin asst. or something like that.

If your doctor would provide you with a signed statement indicating that your current job is too stressful for your pregnancy the company might be forced to find something else for you to do until the baby arrives.

Just throwing some things out there....

oh that is aweful! i would feel the same way that you do! when you started did you get some type of employee handbook? because sometimes if you quit your job for a good reason they will let you keep your insurance and benefits...there will be some monthly fee probably but if you tell them that you want to quit to become a stay at home mom maybe they will work with you and find a way for you to be able to keep the insurance with a miminal premium...it is definatly worth looking into! Good luck!

Find a new job. Send out your resume after work and take a day off when you have to interview. You're pregnant. You can always use the "i'm not feeling well" excuse.

I'm sure your doctor has explained how stress can affect your pregnancy. Don't let that job harm your child!

I've been there, in fact I am there now.I go thru love/hate with my job. I've been there for 5 years and I am once again going thru my I hate my job phase.

I know it's tought to stick with it but I would suggest, stick it out til your pregnancy is over and before you go on maternity leave start putting out the feelers and then start applying at new places during your maternity leave.

I know a lot women where I work have done that.

The stress will most likely be more detrimental to your baby, and you that the income is worth. You are allowed to continue your insurance premiums for several months after you quit a job. Go see medicaid, manny states have programs just for kids and pregos.

It is worth the sacrifice. You may have trouble getting another job while pregnant tho.

I know. Could you go on maternity leave early? Or try to get another job after you have your baby? Or can you transfer to a different dept, or be a receptionist or something? Definitely try searching for another job after you deliver.

Is there a way that you can work at the same company just perhaps in a different division? One that less stressful?
