find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Peanut butter has tons of protien, which burns fat. It's not incredibly healthy because there's not enough nutrients in it, but if you only have 3 weeks, try just eating a spoonful of it when you get hungry between meals. Or substitute a couple spoonfulls for lunch a few days. Any type of diet will mess up your metabolism and when you STOP dieting, you'll gain the weight back. So the best way to successfully lose weight is cutting back on sugar and exercising daily.

Wednesday - Take off and let your body heal.

Thursday - Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.

If your going on a cruise ship, don't bother. The sea air gives one an enormous appetite, and you will eat and drink heaps. Try dieting when you return, not before. Anyway ten pounds is very little. Go on enjoy yourself.

Only eat all natural foods - veggies, fruits, almonds, etc.
If you must eat processed food - read the labels - stop eating crud! Soda, chips, hotdogs, sugar, sugar, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fast foods - will kill ya. While on the trip, you can continue eating healthy, pretend you are a vegetarian for time before you go...and while you are on your trip. Fruits are delicious - think of them as desert!
