My mom has to work that day so we won't have all day to fix stuff. Do you have any suggestions that you have done or heard of?

TORTILLA ROLL UPS

2 8oz. pkgs cream cheese
1 packet taco seasoning
black olives, chopped
green chiles, chopped
shredded cheese
package of large flour tortilla shells

Allow cream cheese to soften. Combine first five ingredients and spread on shells. Roll up like jelly roll and chill overnight.
Slice into 1 inch rolls and serve with salsa.

You could also have fresh veggie and fruit trays, little sausages or meatballs in BBQ sauce, or these:

SAUSAGE BALLS

1 lb. hot sausage
1 lb. mild sausage
12 oz. sharp cheese (softened)
12 oz. mellow cheese (softened)
4 cups Bisquick

Mix all ingredients. Roll into small balls. Place on cookie sheets.
Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes, or until done (depends upon the size).

Best served warm.

For desert, you could make

Fruit Pizza
Ingredients
1 (18-ounce) package refrigerated cookie dough
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or other flavoring (almond, orange, or lemon)
Fresh blueberries, banana slices, mandarin orange sections, seedless grapes, strawberry halves, kiwifruit (or any other fruit you want), well drained
1/2 cup orange, peach, or apricot preserves
1 tablespoon water

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line an ungreased 14-inch pizza pan with cookie dough cut in 1/8-inch slices, overlapping slightly. Bake 12 minutes or until light brown; remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract or other flavoring; spread over cookie crust. Arrange fruit over cream cheese layer in any design you want (use your imagination).

In a small saucepan over very low heat, make a glaze by heating preserves and water. Brush glaze over fruit, making sure to cover the fruit that will turn dark. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Note: This does not keep well, so plan on using it up. You may also use your own sugar cookie recipe in place of the refrigerated dough.

Have fun!

Mini pizzas:
Top bagel chips or melba round crackers with a little bit of tomato paste (just enough to cover the surface), top with shredded mozarella cheese and place in oven until the cheese melts and is lightly browned

Buy premade chicken strips and bake them in the oven. Cut in bite size pieces and serve with honey mustard or ranch dressing.

Tortilla Chips with Mexican dip. Melt one package of Velvetta cheese with 1 jar of salsa in a crock pot. Let it heat until the cheese is melted then mix in the salsa. (you can melt it in the microwave, but the crock pot will keep it warm if you put it on a low setting.

Cut up fresh fruit and serve with a fruit dip. Easy to make! Mix cream cheese and honey together. Add enough honey so that it tastes sweet, but not too sweet. Serve with fresh strawberries, pineapple, etc. Buy the presliced apples that have already been preserved and serve with a peanut butter dip....mix peanut butter with enough honey to give it a sweet flavor and creaminess.

I hope this helps....I just tried to think of foods that teenagers like to eat.

Try these ideas and adapt the fillings to suit yourself

Club Sandwiches
Take four slices of bread and spread them with butter or margarine.
On the first slice place ham and some mustard. (Optional)
Place the second slice of bread on top of Ham, and cover with mashed egg, seasoned with S&P.
Place the third slice of bread on top of egg, and cover with de seeded tomato, seasoned with S&P
Top with forth slice of bread, spread side down.
Cut crusts fro the sides and cut into fingers.

If possible get a loaf of caterers sliced bread.
It is cut lengthways, instead of across, so you can make several at a time.

Sausage Rolls.
Flaky or Short Pastry.
450 g tube of Sausage Meat.
Diced Onion.
Mix sausage meat and onion with about ½ cup of water.

Take one sheet of pastry and lay on the filling in the centre third.
Fold one side over and brush the other with water and press on top.
Turn over and cut into rolls 3’’ long or cut into 3 or 4.
Make 3 cuts on top of each roll and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Brush with milk and bake about 30 minutes at 215C (425F), in a pre-heated oven.

Any frozen foods, such as hot wings amd meat balls, are always liked. So are veggie trays, and simple sandwiches.
