People often find it hard to 'start' a diet because it takes persistence to see results.
Some hints...
1. Drink heaps of water. Have a large glass before you start a meal to help you feel full quicker.
2. Don't skip breakfast (you need breakfast to get your metabolism kick-started). Make it a healthy, low-fat breakfast.
3. Walk more. Allow extra time when you need to go somewhere and walk instead of driving/getting a lift. If you live too far away then get someone to drop you off a few blocks from where you need to be.
4. Don't snack after your evening meal. Don't eat after about 7pm.
5. Fill yourself up on fruit and veg, and go easy on the meat.
6. Allow yourself morning/afternoon snack (a healthy one) but don't eat snacks other times during the day.
Best advice is to search the internet for ideas. There are sooooo many websites dedicated to weightloss which will give advice on the correct exercises, foods, hints, strategies, etc.
The more you are educated on what is/isn't good for you, and what is fattening etc, the better equipped you will be to be successful.... and to maintain it!
Good luck!

Eat Veggies, grilled skinless chicken breasts, and grilled fish.
Cross training is really a great way to go.
Sunday - Try running a mile then walking a mile. If you can't do the full mile running that is fine. Push as far as you can.
Monday - Run .10 mile sprints 5 times. Cool down between each. Jog/speed walk .5 mile.
Tuesday - Ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. Then do 35 of each.
Sit ups
Crunches
Bicycle Sit ups
Wednesday - Take off and let your body heal.
Thursday - Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.
Friday - Weight Training. Work on your upper boddy and lower body.
Saturday - Take off.

I'm on a protein diet and it has done wonders for me. I have lost 21 pounds in 1 month. I start with the first week just eating 10 ounces of strictly protein only and only drink water through out your day. After the first week you can add veggies and fruits. The first week is the hardest, but get past that and you will see results. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Diet and excersize of course. But you can boost the process by using a dieters tea and by eating low/negative calorie foods such as: papaya apple, cranberries, grapefruit, lemon, mango, oranges, raspberries, strawberries, tangerines, asparagus, beets, broccoli, cabbage (green), carrots, cauliflower, celery, chili peppers, cucumber, endive, garden cress, dandelion, garlic, green beans, lettuce, onion, radishes, spinach, and turnips. To release some of the water weight from all the vegetables, you may want to take a water pill/diuretic every day.

a lot of water & staying active. if you can't hit the gym, take a nice walk (take a friend along!). eventually just start stepping it up a bit. lots of fruit and veggie intake. throw out the 3 meals a day thing and do about 5 small meals instead. it cuts down on the snacky cravings. a couple of key items are apples & plain oatmeal (they fill you up without getting you into a food coma). oatmeal + natural applesauce = yummy!

Well it is depending on how much weight you want to lose? The first thing you need to do is see how much sugar you are intaking during the day. Carbs are the first thing to look at cutting back on.
