is there any way to spice up a regular hot dog

Melted cheese and HOT sauce!
Saurkraut and mustard!
Cut it up and put it in Mac & cheese
Grill it rather than boiling
BBQ sauce is good too
BBQ sauce AND cheese
Wrap in bacon
Avocado and salsa

definitely! top it with dijon mustard instead of regular yellow mustard, and add a little cayanne pepper to it too! Maybe try a zippy BBQ sauce insteadd of regular ketchup to give it a bolder flavor!

Stir some cumin into ketchup. And use Chinese hot mustard (like you get from take-out). Maybe some pickled jalapenos.

condiments, add-ons, or try different cooking methods. meijers has a lot of interesting condiments you could try. or check gourmet food stores like westbourn market. or, you could wrap the hot dog in bacon and bake or grilled them. toothpicks help keep the bacon on while cooking. their a hart attack waiting to happen, but they taste really good.
