Do you know anyway to make Windows Vista faster except the things everyone already knows like msconfig and disk cleaning etc... Dont tell me to add more RAM, I know this!

I've seen Windows Vista with just 512MB of RAM... then seen that same computer after upgrading it to 1GB. The difference is fantastic. So I won't tell you to get more RAM...

Look up your computer at http://www.coastmemory.com

I would get 1GB of RAM. If you have one slot with 512, then get 1GB more for the 2nd slot. If your computer has 4 slots, the manufacturer probably recommends that PAIRS be identical.

Windows Vista is the FUTURE. So while you may experience some early problems, it will ultimately work out. Remember, when Windows XP first came out, they said that 128MB was enought. But today, 512MB is needed for Windows XP. That means that you might AIM for 2GB now.

Good luck and Happy Computing

If you have an extra usb flashdrive laying around. Plug it in and test it and see if it is readyboost compatible. Plug in drive. Open My computer. Right click to properties, then go to readyboost tab and test it. If passes configure to use readyboost. Works for many computers that do not have enough memory.
