It all depends how you have them taken out. I had my right wisdom teeth removed in full with the roots in tact and the actual procedure did not hurt at all (and i hate injections in the mouth) a day after my mouth ached and i resolved it with a hot water bottle (filled with hot tap water not boiling water) and that solved the problem. However if you have to have the tooth broken to remove it and your gum cut open it will hurt and quite a lot, usually involving stiches. Find out what procedure you are having - full removal with root intact or where they break the tooth as i do not reccomend general anesthetic unless it is the latter that is going to happen.
