it says Adam and Eve gave birth to Abel and Cain , Cain killed his bro ,God cursed him , and then it says cain went out from the presence of the lord and dwelt in the land of nod to the east of the E'den, AND THEN CAIN KNEW HIS WIFE ................................ ??? WHERE DID SHE COME FROM IF SUPPOSEBLY IT WAS JUST HIM ABLE , ADAM AND EVE??????

I would assume he married his sister. Back then there was no rule about that. God needed the earth populated so he made sure there was no such thing as problems from "inbreeding". It was kept in the family for a long time. Men would also marry their brothers wife if their brother died in order to keep her in the family. God didn't make the rule about marrying outside of your family until later when there were enough people to choose from.

I've read the story many times, and it doesn't say there weren't any other people. It just says that God made those two, and put them in a garden, and then kicked them out into the world we live in. It also says that all of their descendents (except for Noah and his little family) died out. We are from Noah. Noah traced his paternal lineage back 10 generations, to the garden, but that leaves about a trillion other possible ancestors. You do the math. Our DNA contains much more than Adam and Eves, much much more. Their children, Cain and Seth, bred into Homo Sapiens. Homo Sapiens have been here for a long time. A lot longer than this bloodline. Also, that bloodline has been lost for over 2,000 years. It's gone. End of story.

oh yeah, I almost forgot; If we all descended from Adam/Eve, why aren't their still Adam/Eves?

The original word means to have knowledge of.

Adam and Eve had more children than just Cain and Abel.

Several of our readers are fooled by the religions that Cain married one of his sisters when he came after many years of exile and by that time Adam and Eve's children grew in numbers. They stuck to that teachings because they really wanted to insist that Adam and Eve were the first people to be created by God.
If you will read however, the Genesis 1, there is part there that says on the 6th day, God created the animals ahead of Male and Female. These Male and Female were said to be created simultaneously and there was no prohibition made whatsoever. Notice also how God use the word "us" and "our" when they were talking about creating these people. This was wrongly used by the Catholics and other Christians after them that God was talking with Jesus and the Holy Spirit or His Angels when they were doing that. The fact is the Book was speaking about the people who believed in many Gods and Godesses. These were the people who came before Adam and Eve. These people also already knew what is good and evil.
In Genesis 2 The glowing discrepancy was that Adam was created before the animals and then Eve followed after the animals. Read slowly the comparison so you will be guided. The animals that were made before Adam were the animals made available only in his place of birth or creation or in the Garden of Eden. Adam's creation was really an enlightenment on the man to know that there is "One God" who created everything. Meaning his enlightenment was about Monotheistic religion or belief which have been carried out through the generations of Israel. Adam and Eve was supposed to live with only the knowledge of what is good. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God's covenant with them, God spoke about them as, "Now that they have become like "us", God meant only that Adam and Eve became the same as people He created before who already knew good and evil. One reason why Cain had carried already the negative trait of a human being.
Notice also how Cain told God that he was afraid to go out of Eden because anyone who will find him wandering outside might kill him. So, God put a mark on him to warn the people that anyone who kills him will be punished seven times. Remember that if he was given the mark of a murderer then his clan will not accept him to be married to anyone of their children..........I hope I have helped.

No, it wasn't just him, Abel and Adam and Eve. She was his sister. The bible says "the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons AND DAUGHTERS." The human race was still new at that time and pure so marrying and procreating with a sibling would not have caused the problems that it does today. Plus, God had not given any laws yet about marrying close family members.

Well I have often wondered myself and the best answer I can think of was God Adam & Eve were aliens and when god cast Adam & Eve out of the protected Garden, they were in the thick of earthlings and mated with the ape like man, and started having children and that became human. Strictly my opinion.. but Adam and Eve were the first man and woman.. they didn't just have Cain and Able.. they had many children, daughters also.. and so this means that Cain got his wife from among Adam and Eve's daughters. (Yes, one of his sisters.)
