Ringworm's are a fungus and depending upon where the ringworm is located you may have to see a doctor. If the ringworm is located on your face or near your scalp you will have to get a prescription medication. If the ringworm is located on your arm or leg then i would suggest an anti-fungal cream. Lotrimin works really well and you apply it once or twice a day, cover with a band-aid so that it is not able to be touched by anyone and wash your hands after you apply the medicine. Good Luck.

Ringworm is a fungus, not a worm. You can try bleach on a cotton ball if your skin isn't too sensitive, but your doctor can prescribe an anti fungal cream that works very well. Be sure to wash your hands every time you treat it because it's VERY contageous.

Ringworm is a highly contagious fungal infection of the skin. It responds well to any of the medicines found in the athlete's foot (and jock itch) section of your drugstore or supermarket.

It's important to apply the medicine for as long as is indicated on the label. The inflammation will seem to clear up pretty quickly, but if you stop using the medicine before the time indicated, the ringworm will return even bigger than ever!

Ringworm is a fungus, not a worm. You need an anti-fungal cream - and if that doesn't work - go to the doc. It's contagious.
