I heard they don't work and are actually counter productive, due to the reduced amounts of nutrients during the detox. If they do work, what's a good detox plan?

of course they don't work. the don't reduce body fat but actually can slow the metabolic rate which impedes fat loss. why do people use them? everyone is looking for that "magic" pill, diet or training routine and there is none. being physically fit and healthy is a lifestyle. not something one does for a week or two here and there.

"Detox" regimens are ALL nonsense. Your body "detoxes" itself naturally unless you over poison it with junk that you shouldn't ingest anyway!

Try this: go to a "health food store" and select a product that they say is good for "detoxing". Ask for a list of specific "toxins" the product "removes". If they so much as name one, sue them! You WILL win in court.
