looking for psychics...?

Question

i really recently became interested in talking with a psychic.. my best friend has someone in her family who can tell the unreal and the things she tells me are unbelieveable so i would like to find out for myself if they are true and what is still in store for my life... if anyone is a psychic contact me or any websites that can help with free psychic chat or anaything of that nature.. please help



also i would appriciate if none of you would waste your time commenting on how wasteless this is.. my intrests should be none of your concern so only comment if you can help... thanks

I appreciate that you want to be taken seriously, but there are limits. I think I can help, but perhaps not in the way you request.

First of all, if you find a psychic over the Internet, chances are what you have found is a fraud. This is not to say that there are no genuine psychics -- I have known some people with uncanny perceptions which can be reasonably explained as psychic ability. But they inevitably require personal contact, which is not possible over the Internet.

Secondly, there are many people who might be able to help you who do not call themselves psychics as such. For example, I have been reading Tarot cards for about 35 years, but I do not consider that I have any "supernatural" gift. What I have is a lot of experience, a great deal of detailed information about the symbols on the cards, and a willingness to help. But again, this requires personal contact: you must be the one to cut the cards.

May I suggest that you start by looking in the yellow pages of your local phone book for "metaphysical books" or some such type of store. "New Age" is a term often used. Phone them and ask them if they do readings there, or if they have someone they can recommend. I would look for the oldest person who seems at all rational, as the longer they have been doing this sort of work, the better they are likely to be at it.

Another way would be to check out the Yahoo Groups for those that seem relevant to your purposes. There are so very many. I know the people who run several of them, but I won't make a specific recommendation, since I do not really know what you need.

If you mean to study the metaphysical yourself, understand that it will take time, and that you will have to keep what I call your "BS filter" on high gain. There are a lot of people, some with real ability and some without, that are only in it for the money, and may not be honest with you. I have heard of those who offer to do readings when their main purpose is to find out how they can rob you. There are good people, too, of course. You will need your discriminating wisdom.

Do you really need one? All the power they claim to have is in you already! try this. take a lawn chair if you need one. If there is a place that is safe and peaceful, out doors Go there if not and you have your own place Indoors then use that. remain there quietly for as long as you can. Then leave. return there the next day and the next and the next Just sit and clear your mind. This will seem dull at first but I can assure you this method works. If you can release the fear and stress your problems are causing you first then solutions will come.
