Sometimes the answer is simply NO. It's like when you're raising your kids. They want something that you can see is bad for them right now, but they can't see that. All they know is that this is what they desire with all their hearts right at this moment. They convey this to you, do you let them have it just because it's something they desire, or do you tell them no because it's better for them in the long run? If you have done all you say, you have the attention of your god, but s/he's telling you no, that's not what's best for you right now.

I have learned , especially through my chronic illness, that causes me pain every day, that God does not answer prayer, always the way we wish He would. I was thinking for the longest time, that the greatest desire of my heart would be if God would heal me. I know that any moment He still could, but in the process He has taught me the greatest desire of my heart should be Him, and Him alone. There is a song written probably 20 years ago or so that can maybe help- the title is "When Answers Aren't Enough There is Jesus". He has shown me that He has answered the prayer of His heart- that I learn to glorify Him through my illness. Prayer is not trying to get God's attention it is allowing God to get ours. And you are right not to give up hope- but remember He is our hope. If you are worshiping God with your whole life and heart, He will hear your prayers, remember though that does not mean that He will grant your every wish, He will grant you peace in the midst of it though.

You need to continue to pray and seek God for what you want. I have found in my own experiences that some of the things I desired and didn't get, I was glad that I didn't, because the final outcome was alot better than the original thing I had asked for. Now I just ask God to give me what he feels is right for me and continue to thank him for the many blessing I have. Prayer is a very powerful thing, so one must be very careful what they ask for, be patient.......Good things will come......Dont think that you haven't gotten his attention because you have, and don't give up.

You say that you do everything. Do you read the Bible, fervently every day meditating on His word? This you do first. Then, pray, go to Mass as often as you can, listen to songs of worship, sing, praise and glorify Him. Of course repent and confess every sin in your life.
In the process, stop watching T.V., at least for 40 days, give it up for Him. Plus give up any other thing for Him.
I promise you, then you will get His attention. So much, you won't know what to do.
I promised to do all the above for 40 days. Half way through, I got His attention. Boy oh boy, it was incredible and still is amazing.

Since the Father is the Father, He knows and sees all. He believe that He places great faith in the sacrifice made by Jesus, His son. Therefore, each prayer offered with love for Jesus will definitely heard and not neglected. Many saints have told us that God returns good unto us even if the prayer request was askew, as long as the prayer was offered with love for Jesus. Our love for Jesus is not as valid as the sacrifice of Jesus itself, so the sacrificer obviously has more primacy (plus He is God also).
Each drop of Jesus, even just one drop, would have been enough to open the gates of heaven so that we humans MIGHT follow after the Lamb. That value will never be wasted when offered to the Trinity. It will be used by God in the most efficacious and just manner possible. It follows also with the value of the Lamb's blood that anything remotely associated with a good prayer intention will be affected. God, being just, will act as abundantly as mercy allows.
There is no reason to give up hope. Just see that your prayers are being answered in God's all-knowing manner, not in your small perspective.

Patience is a virtue...and a test of your faith, so don't give up hope & don't stop praying. God knows what you want before you ask & also knows what you really need but He encourages you to "ask & you shall receive". Whether or not it's exactly what you expected or not, your prayers are answered in many different ways. He's listening to billions of prayers in many different languages & answering them according to His evaluations, not our expectations. Some peoples prayers are more sincere than others & many peoples needs are greater than our own. God helps those who help themselves & rewards those who help others, whether it's with material rewards or the rewards of feeling good about yourself. Among the Christian attributes you've mentioned about yourself, do include helping others.

God can see the big picture in life, you may not realise that HE is workign, but in a few years you will look back and see that HE had worked it jsut wasnt the way you expected HIm to do things. If He didn't answer your prayers they way YOU wanted HIm to, you may not have seen just how he has worked? Look back and don;t expect God to answer the way you wnat to be answered. As i said God can see teh bigger picture and will do what HE thinks is best for you not what YOU think is best for you!
keep trying =)
have a nice day

It's because your heart and mind are not focused on what you are asking God for, when you are praying to God for something you desire, you have to focus on that desire, and you might wait for some time to get it, but if you do this you will get what you are asking for, God will give you what ever you desire but you need to show him that, and you do that by focusing on that desire with your mind and heart. May God Bless.

Try getting hold of a copy of "What the Bleep do we know", and after that watch "The Secret".
These will probably run against most religious ideas you may have, but they do explain how the 'Universe' works more realistically than the older 'models'.
Abundance is 'real', the way to 'real'-ise it needs to be re-understood.
The most important single factor is, I believe, to focus very clearly on what it is that you desire and picture that, in your mind, coming into your experience. And believe that it will, the biggest error people have made historically, is to put their 'faith' in all the wrong things. Put it in yourself, and in your inate ability to bring whatever you desire into your world.
The rest follows.
Good luck, and have fun. :-)
