Is it still a sin if the children are in another country and will not ever see how much money we spend just trying to entertain ourselves?

Personally, I'd love to see all the wealthy nations in this world get together and make sure all children are innoculated against disease, but unfortunately, we're too busy spending our money on liposuction and plastic surgery. Is it a sin? Yeah, and if not, it should be. Of course, sometimes it is the fault of the poor nations leaders, they'd rather use those supplies, sell them and get rich.

1. No it just means you're a bad parent or you can't afford it and the government screwed you over with no universal health care.

2. Only a sin if you feel guilty (as in you never did anything for the children) and just went around doing thingys and spending money, but that's how you end up in debt.

Yes it is a sin if we refuse to save children from preventable diseases. That's why there are Christian charities serving the third world so that they won't have to suffer.

I believe that we already have the cures for many diseases, and that we can send these cures to other countries. In some cases we do, but as some one else said, they don't get distributed to where they are needed because of those country's political agendas.
Many other cures we have, I believe are suppressed by our own government or by the pharmaceutical companies themselves, because it is more cost effective to them to continue to "treat" something for a long period of time then it is to cure someone at all.
Call me paranoid, but there are plenty of examples of this same kind of behavior within our own government. They suppress various inventions that would damage our dependence on oil, and that is just one other example.

We are able to do very much more than we can do.
The children suffering in other countries are subject to their national political and religious leaders' whims.
Do we go out and conquer other nations in order to "save the children?"
If I had the White House, I'd be trying. Maybe that's what he's up to?

Why don’t you lead by example, dog, and instead of spending your time here secretly trying to spread the same disease with which you are afflicted, go to Africa and Asia, wherever you think starving children need food and the word of Christ.

I don't believe in sin, but it surely is a black mark on humanity.
