does the payment still come out from ur credit card ?

No. Since the card is not present and they can not swipe it...most credit card companies require that the merchant have the security code. The security code is a sign to the creditor that YOU authorized the charge by disclosing it to the merchant.

Not one of the best methods but is helpful at times.

Besides...how is it that you dont have a security code?

Turn your card over and look at the last three numbers on the back...normally to the right of the strip where you are supposed to sign.

If its and American Express its on the front of the card.

If any 3 random digits worked, what would be the point of having the code in the first place? They may as well allow you to enter a random 16 digits instead of the account number. If the information is wrong, they should reject the transaction.

Yes. Type in all the digits. Sometimes the you will be ask for the card security code, which is usually the 3 digit found on the reverse side of your credit card.
