First of all know that I will be praying for you. I can tell you this- there is a God- and He is reaching out to you, because if He was not you would not be asking this question- only the Holy Spirit can do that. Reach out to God and He will reach out to you. The way to do this is through His Son Jesus Christ. What you have to do is this- admit that you are a sinner- admit that you have turned away from God, and know that Jesus is the only way to God- through His death on the cross. Jesus has promised that if you confess your sin,and accept Him as payment for your sin, you will be in heaven. Look in t book of John and ask God to reveal Himself to you through His Son and He will do this. You can be saved today- if you can email me we can talk about this even more. God bless you

I'm sorry to hear about your illness, hope you can get well, If you wanna find GOD, let me tell you that GOD already found you, because GOD knows you before you were in your mother's womb, second I read that the doctors said that you have 1 month or less to live, but have you ask GOD how much time you have to live??, because I know that when the world has done enough for you and can't do anything else, there is where GOD starts working in your life, just remember this part from John 3:16 " that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." , you just need to start believing that GOD is there for you, start praying, and most of all have FAITH.
May the LORD be with you,
Get Well!!!

Very sorry to hear about your sickness. If you do not believe in God and afterlife it is the wrong thing to try and force yourself into believing. It will only make you more unhappy. There are so many different beliefs and each and every one will tell you that they are right.
Even if it may sound harsh, enjoy the time that you still have, enjoy your children and do not worry too much about afterlife. I see religeon as something that overcomplicates and in a lot of cases messes up people's lifes. Most believers are so worried about the afterlife that they do not live there life to the full. That is the last thing that you need now, enjoy what is left.
All of the best.

If you are really interested in learning more about God, then I have to suggest that you go visit a nearby LDS temple's Visitor's Center. The following link can help you locate the one nearest you:
http://www.lds.org/temples/geographical/0,11380,1899-1,00.html
There, you are allowed to visit and ask questions and even ponder in these visitor's areas of the temples. The spiritual power that are contained in these places can help you and your children understand how the afterlife can really be heavenly when you are sealed to your two children.
That is the central message you need to understand. You have a chance for you and your children to be together forever as a family, untied by promises made to Christ in these holy temples. If you want to be able to believe in this, then you need to get to one of these visitors' centers quickly and learn and study from the missionaries. Their lessons of saving those relationships from physical death will bring joy to your family and will echo throughout the eternities. You can get started with some aspects of this by following the following link:
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/alma/32
This chapter will help you learn how to develop faith in your own heart. From there, you will be able to better understand what the missionaries will teach you.
The missionaries may also try to teach you some lessons in your home. To help locate what missionaries and what regular LDS chapel is closest to you, follow this link:
http://www.mormon.org/worshipwithus
Use that to locate the nearest chapel so you can visit normal church service on Sunday.
You can go ahead and use www.mormon.org to get some other questions answered, but by doing these visits, I can promise you that the Latter Day Saints will love to help you in person. You will get the answers you need and your children will make friends with good people who will make sure that you three will be an eternal family in the arms of Christ.
Sincerely,
Alvin R.

Why would you want to devote your soul to something if you're not certain that it is the path for you? I understand the need to feel close to a higher power when you feel so close to the end of your life, but which god are you talking about believing in? Why Do you need to have a religious affiliation in the first place? The best thing I can suggest (and what worked for me) was to find a quite place/time and "meditate" call it whatever you want, prayer, meditation, finding your inner calm, it doesn't really matter what you call it. But listen to the voice within you, it will give you the answer. No one here can give you an answer to a question that is yours alone.

First, let me say how sorry I am to hear about your diagnosis. My own mother has lung cancer with mets in the liver, and has been given six months or less.
The shortest route I can point out to find a religion that suits you in the time you have left is the Belief-O-Matic quiz over at Beliefnet.com:
http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
It matches you up with a wide variety of religions and philosophies based on your answers, with write-ups for each one. The results can be very surprising.
My mother discovered Wicca a couple of months ago and is determined to study and practice it for as long as she is able. I hope you find a religious path that brings you comfort in your own last days.

I'm so sorry.
I wish I could, but this short little text box is just not enough. I find that Quaker meeting houses have the best peopleto talk to about honest faith, personally. (I'm not a Quaker myself, but they are one of my favorite denominations.)
Contact your local hospice network, the volunteers there can help in ways you can't imagine now.
I usually suggest CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, followed by The Rapture Exposed: The Message of Hope in The Book of Revelation by Barbara R. Rossing to counteract a lot of the nonsense out there.
I'll add you as a contact here, so I can keep an eye out for any of your questions and help advise you in any way I can.manage.

Sorry to hear of your illness, but dont reconcile your life as over, just because of the medical profession.
I wouldnt bother with a search for god. What I WOULD do is search the net for a Rife machine - Rife practitioner or Essiac tea. Cancer CAN be cured. Act now-good luck.

Somebody once said that an atheist can't find God for the same reason that a thief can't find a policeman. Are you looking for God, or are you running from Him? Open your eyes, and you will see Him.
Well, I definitely can't help you here, now, but I strongly, strongly urge you to see a pastor or priest as soon as possible, or a Christian friend to help you sort things out.
God bless you!

well you have to search yourself, i mean just because you can't see god doesn't mean he exists. there are far too many miracles to say a high power doesnt truely exist. i mean before you had any thought that there was something wrong with you (the cancer) in your mind it didnt exist, but it did. my advice would be to talk to a pastor, or someone into god. and also reading the known stories in the bible are good. i hope you find god.youll be in my prayers
