there is all this talking about the war in Iraq and bringing our troops back what about Afghanistan? no one talks about what is going on over there. when will the troops there come back? they are still sending soldiers out there, my friend just got married and is pregnant, her husband just left to Afghanistan and wont be back for 15 months.

I can't really tell you when they will come back, but it is really messed up that there is no talk in the media about what has been going on in Afghanistan and that the government is only worrying about Iraq while there are also troops in Afghanistan, the troops there aren't getting enough credit for what they are doing they have been before the Iraq war started and no one seems concerned about ending that and bringing them back home soon. I think it's great that they want to bring the troops in Iraq back but what about Afghanistan

All the talk of Iraq's troops coming home is for the politicians to look productive. We have troops all over not just Afghanistan & Iraq, why don't we hear about them thier progress&coming home???!! It's disgusting to me & equally unfair! I am very supportive of our troops I pray for them all almost everyday. I don't support the reason they are there. I'm upset that we have to loose so many lives for reason(s) still unconfirmed. GOD BLESS all the troops & thier families!!!

The troops in Afghanistan are doing the same thing the troops in Iraq are doing: stabilizing the area to prop up a newly formed democratic government installed after the defeat of the former oppressive regime.

It seems like we largely forgot about Afghanistan when the Iraq War started.
One thing is for sure, the Taliban did not forget about Afghanistan.
