I am glad you know the difference

and isn't it sad the number of folks on here that want to chastise you because you do know

Especially since if your knowledge of Spay/Neuter means that you also understand the importance of getting that done

As has been stated, some folks are from other countries & use other language... those I forgive

However, many on here don't know & don't care because they won't spend the money on a vet to get it done (read some of the Questions.. it is evident) or don't feel it is necessary (like the question once answered about is it really necesary to have the male pet fixed because that owner felt it was the reponsiblity of people who owned females and not those who own males.... to bad there isn't doggie & kittie child support designed just for folks like that)

Actually the two terms are spay and castrate. In either case you have neutered the animal. If you go to dictionary.com and look up neuter you will find this:

7. an animal made sterile by castration or spaying.

There are a lot of people here from different countries and they many have different names for the spraying and neutering than we do. So sometimes I think they don't understand what some people are talking about.

I knew all about spraying and neutering At young age but I was brought up with many dogs in the house some people are not as fortunate.

i totally know what u mean when i first got my dog i was checking around to find a good vet. one i called when a i asked how much they charged for spaying a beagle. she asked if it was male or female.i was like i'm not having this vet. lots of people don't bother to find out about dogs before they get one. and then they have problems later on.

Yes. Major differences. So what is your question. I think I know it though. Here's the answer. People are just Ded Dee Dee.
Neutering is the removal of the testicles in a male animal.(Dog,cat, rabbit etc.)
Spaying is the removal of the uterus an ovaries of a female animal.
