i actually don't follow any of the points from any of the reviews...wine prefernce all comes down to taste and what you like. Your opinion is the only one that matters.

2 buck chuck shiraz for example one a silver medal in San Francisco at a big whoop di do wine tasting, and I think it tastes like garbage. Go figure.

Yet, I have also tried some 90 or higher stuff from places like opus, etc. that is supposed to be excellent and also hated it.

To each their own.

In the past, I've tended to agree with him moreso than other critics. However, I've heard recently that his ratings are not agreeing with the same people they used to agree with.
