find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise (running, jogging, cycling, swimming - anything that makes your heart rate to go up and sweat) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

If you want to lose some "poundage" on your low abdominal area this is the best way to do it.

Okay...you can do crunches all day long but in order to see some REAL RESULTS you will need to do some cardio to get rid of that excess fat hanging over your abs which is preventing you to look slim and show off that sleek slim ab area.

This routine works best and it's one that I practice: Commit to doing some cardio at the MINIMUM 30 minutes a day 3 times a week. Dieting is also important. Yes, I know you're fit, but if you have some fat in that section you'll need to burn it off with a diet and some exercise. After you do your walk or jog, then proceed to do your ab crunches. You can do the regular ones, but the ones for that lower abdominal area are like this,,,,,lay flat on your back, hands face down to your sides and lift your legs about half way up. Do about 5 reps of 10 and you can start off with less or more depending on what feels good to you. But you will start to feel the burn and you'll know it's working. If you stick to this plan you should see results within 3-4 weeks. It sounds long I know..but so worth it!

Good luck!

The only way to lose weight in a problem area (like the stomach, inner thighs, etc) is to lose weight in general. Start exercising if you don't already, and limit your calories intake. FYI, If you cut 500 calories/day from your diet, you will lose about 1 pound per week.

Things like sit-ups and crunches will help to tone the muscle underneath the fat, but it won't burn the fat. If you do ab-toning exercises along with diet and exercise, you will have a really nice looking stomach.

Unforunately, none of this happens overnight. It will take a little while, but stick with it for a few weeks and you will start to see results.

Good luck!

the rectus abdomins is a single muscle and you cant isolate part of a muscle when exercising. the best ab exercises are the ones that utilize a full range of motion. but as you know you can't spot reduce fat stores via the diet or exercise.

the best way to lose body fat is not necessarily the easiest. training at maximum effort is the best way to increase the metabolic rate for hours after exercise. sprints are hands down the best exercise for this. you can perform either 100m or 200m sprints at maximum effort once you are sufficiently warmed up. run one then walk one and repeat for 10-15 minutes and perform them 3x a week.

and as always the more healthy that the diet is the faster results will be seen.

Dont listen to those people who told you not to eat and lypo

You can do Twist crunches they really help.

Thats when you cross and lift your legs and instead of going forward you twist to the side.

Also if you have a "pull up" machine you can hold on to the handles and put your back against it and lift your legs this helps you get toned abs and legs

hope this helps!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

Try power walking and bicycling. Also cut back on your carbs a bit, you don't have to give them up but, what works for me is if I limit my flour and sugar products to smaller portions and less often and load up on the healthier choices.
