I am studying paganism now and trying to consolidate it into my previously non spiritual christian life. It's a very difficult thing to do where I am right now. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm sorry the first question was more of a frustration question, the second part was more of what I am asking. A little advice on how to cope living in an intolerant community and studying a new religion.

Merry Meet!
I am a Wiccan living in central Queensland Australia, i have never even met a fellow Wiccan, there are no stores, where i can buy supplies, the nearest would be Brisbane which is an 8 hour round trip! So i understand your frustration! But learning through books and the net, and using forums like this will help you a great deal.
I suggest you try www.witchvox~~~they will connect you with someone in your area.
Good luck on your path, may the Goddess bless and guide you!
Blessed Be!

Hmm. Two totally different questions.
First, Vatican City and Madrid, Spain.
Second, I studied paganism from a scientific viewpoint. Trying to incorporate it into a moribund christianity you never embraced will only pollute it. Check out aetheric theory. It's not only coming back, it's likely true in both 'worlds'.

Check witchvox for people in your area. Also on witchvox look for festivals and stuff in your area. Check for meet ups that might be held in your area. Join some yahoo groups, they help with sanity too. lol

Good luck.

Oh and you don't need jesus or any other thing the religion folks throw at you. You find your way to Deity or whatever you will call it. That's when you will be happy. There are no limits placed on you by Deity.

Actually, according to the Witches of the World section on Witchvox, there are quite a few Wiccans/witches/Pagans in Alabama. You can check out the listings here:

Hopefully this will help you to connect with individuals, groups, events, and shops in your area. :-) Finding other people of a like mind will probably help you tremendously.

find others...
Seriously. There is no reason to be alone, especially in such a dangerous place. Even if it's an online group, find Pagans to keep you sane.

Good luck to you.

Just grit your teeth and do what you wish...it is no one else's business, and if they are too narrow-minded to understand, they can just crawl back into their little caves.

And that is speaking as an non-believer from one of the thickest Bible-belts in the world.

Yes, you could be living in Saudi or Iran, or Iraq... there are lots of "worse places" to be pagan...
