Seriously I just met the chick across the street and upon meeting me she was calling me ignorant and selfish for not believing. She has even gone as far as preaching to my kids who are 5 3 and 2!! Why??

For the same reason you judge all religious people due to this and few other experiences. It's called bigotry.
Her for believing that all people who don't believe as she is are ignorant and selfish. You for believing all religious people always judge those who are not.
Same error, same foolishness. Those of us on both sides who don't judge groups by individual acts see no reason to take your question seriously.
Oh, I'm not religious.

Because it is a requirement for some Christians to convert others into their religion. Just ignore her.
And ther are som good religious people out there. Who keep their religion to themselves and can see past the elevated "state" of which they considered themselves raised to, because they believe that there is a God.

Well, she shouldn't be! (that's me judging by the way). Some people believe volume is the way to get through to people - think its more likely quietly getting on with your life and loving people along the way, just like Jesus did.

Not all people judge...not all "religious" people judge. Some non-religious people judge...
A better question might be, why are people judgmental?
