I'm looking for software that will convert videos to MP3. i do not wish to buy the product.
i've tried a few but they free trials only convert about a minute of the film.. i need at least a max of 5 minutes

what? you can't turn video into audio. YOU can take the audio stream of a video and turn that into an audio file
VirtualDub can do that with any avi file.

www.media-convert.com converts virtually any format to virtually any format. I am pretty sure it can extract audio from video, but it works online, so you need high-speed internet access.

try xilisoft it converts more than that. Your lucky that you only need to convert it to mp3 I have to find some way to convert a movie to .smv! :)
