Global warming is claimed by experts who only receive money from college or universities (which receive public funding) OR are Government scientists feeding from the public trough. Do you see the pattern. No private money, but public money, for the claim of global warming.
Private money from industry and "going green" industries are pushing this myth further, all for their bottom line of profits.
A million people screaming "global warming" does not make it true. You have to find out why the earth came out of the last ice age, it got warmer. But why? Mankind did not influence it then, so why now? Forget the carbon dioxide levels, there have been higher levels in the past, again without mankind's influence. But that is conveniently overlooked. An inconvenient truth, so to speak.
No one is going to change anyone mind here.
I just don't want to see my tax dollars wasted on a myth.

Trying to stop global warming will cost big businesses and ultimately consumers a great deal of money and hurt quality of life in the short term. The oil companies in particular would lose enormous profits if alternative fuel production measures were to be implemented. So the main reason is money. The people disputing that fossil fuel emissions are causing global warming do not want to believe the science because its going to cost them to change.

Republicans have always been on the side of big business. Making cutbacks, saving energy, buying smaller cars all of the things that are required to improve the environment would have a negative impact on many traditional big business'
The irony is that the innovation required to improve the environment most likely would represent new industry opportunities, but short sighted people want to protect the traditional steel plants and auto workers instead of letting regular supply and demand capitalism take over.
I'm usually republican but in '08 im voting democrat (just not hillary)
Im trying to earn those CFL Bulbs at Yahoo they're expensive so im hoping to win some.

Do you think that only one side of the Global Warming debate should be presented? Maybe people just want to present the equally compelling theory that the global warming is a natural phenomenon and has nothing to do with humans. That humans won't be able to affect global warming no matter how many billions of dollars are wasted, businesses and industries ruined, and economies devastated.

Republicans (I here mean the "followers of the party no matter what" which is not the majority of them) have a hard time seeing the world of truth (their own) around them collapsing.
I have seen the same problem in eastern (or western) Europe for people who grew up in believing the communist party.
After discovering the truth about Stalin they became Maoist !!! And then went for another deception.
The same happened to the last national socialist who could not believe everything they had faith in was a strong distortion of the reality. I guess people like not to change and have beliefs about which they can feel strong.

Republicans are for big money businesses, and are selfish and only care about their generation and not where the world is going to be in a couple years. They just want the money, and to put a stop to global warming would hurt their oil business. Also, they are too lazy to do anything about any situation, and when they do something, just look at the Iraq war. Self explanatory.
