He truly believed in his mission. It meant so much to him he was prepared to face Crucifixion for it. Irrespective of religious dogmas that's all there is to it.

when you do something good or right, and you go against others who want you to do the opposite, why did you do it? did you enjoy the pain? does that mean you are a sadomasochist? or does it mean that there are some causes that are worth the pain and turmoil?
i believe that christ died for all peoples, no matter what religion or backgrounds.

well lets consider this...sadomasochism is pleasureable pain that is tolerable and can be controlled...the pain Jesus endured was much much worse.
i mean seriously do you honestly think his only wounds were in his wrists ( yes wrists..not hands..his hands would not have been able to support his weight) and feet? and the crown of thorns? nope...he was beaten horrendously, skin ripped from his body with the beatings, his beared was pulled out, he was spat upon, kicked and made to carry his own cross. and frankly...im still sugarcoating it.
and also...he didnt just do it for the " christians" he did it for everyone. thing is though...not everyone beleives that.

That was just a way that people was put to death Jesus was not the only one to be crusified, that practice was very common in those days, The greater part of the saving happened in the garden of getsemany

John 3.16-21
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Hmm... do you have proof, or even a shred of evidence, that he enjoyed it? No?
I guess that that would make it pure conjecture on your part, wouldn't you say?

u guys, u cant insult ur religious figure like this, even i am not a christian and i cant talk like that about a man i dont beleive was ever put on the cross!!!??
jesus was not crucified, but it was another person who god made look like him, jesus peace be upon him was resurrected be4 anyone could torture him. thank god.
my question here is, if jesus said to christians that he crucified himself to remove all the sins of christians, this means they can do whatever they want?? why would the world have moral then if by only saying i beleive in jesus then u go to heaven??? whats the purpose of god creating us on earth in the first place???? isnt it to test who is good and who is bad???
the sinless thing dousnt make sense to me no offense.

Obviously, He dreaded doing it. His prayer in the garden of Gethsemane shows His human weakness as well as His godly strength.
