A Fundamentalist is a Protestant Christian who wishes to get back to what they feel are the "fundamentals" of Christianity. This usually means, for them, doctrines such as the inerrancy of the Bible, the virgin birth of Christ, salvation through the sacrifice of Christ, the physical resurrection of Christ, and the Second Coming of Christ. In a political, social and theological sense, Fundamentalism is generally perceived as being the "right wing" and conservative side of Christianity.
Fundamentalism is also found in other religions. In that context, it usually means "ultra-conservative". People sometimes speak of "fundamentalist Muslims", for instance, and in that case, it would refer to hardline conservatism within Islam.

Someone who believes in a literal interpretation of each verse of the Bible...However, then twists the literal interpretation as it pertains to their own lives and sins.
They feel they are the ultimate authority on scripture and that all other beliefs and religions other than their own, is wrong. They walk through life with blinders on refusing to acknowledge other thoughts.
Bottom line is...a fundamentalist believes that only those who believe as he does is a Christian, and that all others are sinners.

Depends who is using it and why, in context.
For some it may be an extremist, fanatical person
For others, it may be "one who follows traditional principles" (i.e. fundamentals, hence fundamentalist)

It is a form of government that is based on religion and makes all citizens in your cities conent. Allows you to build Fanatics (4/4/2 20 Sheilds.)

A person who takes the bible as the LITERAL word of God.
A person who is the first to point fingers and claim who is going to hell.
A person who follows blindly without independent thought.

A fundy is someone who is so obsessed with their delusions of god and afterlife that they insist that everyone around them share their fantasy.
