I am a Collection Agent and I have no credit. I prefer it that way.
How does my family live? Off what I make. I have back up plans incase $hit hits the fan. I have a savings account and a emergency account.
If I can afford something. I buy it. If I cant afford it, I save up for it or make it work somehow. Either way I always get what I want and I got an excellent lifestyle. I dont need to pay all those fees. Thats money in the bank.
Plus...credit cards are not meant for you to live off of. They are for emergencies only and you should really have a savings account for that.
Good Luck

I hate to say this but credit cards are not designed to live off of. They are a convenience to use instead of cash or writing a check.
You should never use a credit card to buy something that you can't pay for in full when you get the statement.

If you can't afford whatever without credit, what makes you think you can afford it with credit? After paying interest, credit usually costs 2 to 3 times what you would have paid in cash.
