the brainwashing includes programming to become extremely hostile when questioned or challenged. if they weren't brainwashed, the question would hold no emotional charge for them. they would feel secure in their beliefs.

Fundamentalists have ceased to be Christian and become ideologists. There is a huge difference but they have passed the point when they might recognise it.

You can debate, discuss, tell and interest people about a religion. Ideologists on the other hand are seen for what they are - stuck in a rut of their own making and so far removed from Christianity as to be a thousand miles to the left of atheists!!!!!

All of us have been brainwashed in some way or another. Sometimes, when one comes to realize this, they deny that it has happened. Upon even considering it, would make anyone defensive. So, after they get over it, they should consider re-investigating their belief system and should modify it until it fits what they really believe.

Why do people justify their christian beliefs with quotes from the bible? I think that alone is a good indication that the fundamentalists are unable to understand things outside their little blanket. That or they say it to reaffirm themselves.

Imagine yourself on a Q&A board, trying to help others with religious or spiritual issues, and you keep getting bashed on by people who really have little or no business there in the first place. I think an angry or defensive response to that kind of constant goading is perfectly natural. Ask yourself this..."Why do I feel compelled to ask these questions, anyway??"

A- Because it requires only small amount of brain exercise to 'believe' , without questioning, and their brains are largely underdeveloped?
So if something washes their belief out, what do they have left? Nothing... no identity, no moorings, no logic, poor chaps... pity them!

Christianity is abiding in truth. For we read in John 14:6 "I am, the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." Christians have experienced this forgiveness of sins from the Father through the Son. This is our truth and we know it by experience not by theology or religiosity. Our lives abide in truth and we know that the world lives in deception and has been blinded by the god of this world. The god you don't believe exists: the one called Satan (Lucifer, liar, deceiver, destroyer, the prince and power of this world).

You are so full of crap. A bunch of pat Atheist terms, brainwashed, delusional, stupid. All you do is insult the intelligence of other people and then are dumb enough to wonder why they get pissy with you. How bright it that?

I was raised by Atheists.
I made a choice, why is it so hard for you to believe that people choose to believe?
