we are to forgive our brothers and sisters - we are to turn the other cheek - however, even in doing so - sometimes we just have to walk away shaking the dust off our feet and move on in our own lives. holding a grudge against them doesn't hurt them - only us - it holds us back from moving forward.

Although I'm not a devout believer--I consider
myself to be an agnostic--I bear grudges, but
I NEVER hold them.
It's against my principles--so, yes, I'd say that
is a "sin" of sorts.

It may not be a sin, but it doesn't serve much of a purpose.
Why would you waste your energy actively holding onto something that happened in the past?

probably yes...but, it is human nature when someone has done you wrong.
However, the grudge you hold has more negative effects on you then it has on the other person...you need to let it go, in order to move on.

Yes the Lord says forgive.
Forgive because if you cannot find it in your heart to forgive how should Jesus find it in his to forgive you?
