Tomorrow all the grade 8s at my school are going on a field trip. I don't want to go because it is stupid. All it is is people sing about how Canada and the provinces were created and dance around...Would you go?

Yes- it may help you realise pride in your country- i come from a country that doesn't really have good patriotic spirit, and it makes me sad

My suggestion, just go with a friend and make the best out of it. You are getting out of class after all, no hw, no class work, no sitting through boring lectures. Even if you dont like all that singing and Canadian stuff, you and a bud can joke around, make fun of the whole situation, and enjoy a day away from regular school activities. You will never learn if you look back and ask "what if?", just go for it. You will learn something for sure, whether it is boring or actually worth it.

yes i would go. it is a tradition and shows pride. the bus ride and being with friends and whatever else you will do will be fun.alot of stupid or silly things can be fun. you are sharing them with friends and other people. it is a day out,away from the classroom,that;s not bad eh. learn to live and laugh. not everything in life has to be serious or have a purpose.have fun,life is short,enjoy it and dont sweat the small stuff.have fun.

I would say go and be done with it.Not going may result in recrimination of some sort. Perhaps you can think of something you would want to see and then go for it.

Yes... if it were me and I felt really awkward about going, I would make sure I had a best friend with me who I would laugh with the entire day!

I'm in middle school and i think it would be stupid too. If I had a choose i wouldn't go.
