I'm getting a labret piercing in a while (about a week), and I'm just wondering how bad it hurts also, how long should the swelling last?
Oh and what piece of jewelry will probably be the best? A loopy one or a straight one?

i have mine with a ring...it doesn`t hurt at all...i was lucky, i didn`t have any swelling or anything, i was eating my lunch 10 min afterwards...but everyone`s different, u will just have to see what happens!!!

not much swelling with mine either. I was lucky cause some people swell up big time. It all depends. It doesnt hurt at all really. Its over so quick you wont even realize they did it probably. It all depends on your style when choosing a hoop or a straight piece of jewelery.

u should probably get a lip ring because labrets can rub away your gums and stuff

just to let you know ive had both the labret and tongue and have had to have over 4,000 dollars worth of dental because of it. and i will eventually need gum surgery. good luck.

your piercer can advise you on what jewelry would be best for your lip
i reccomend bioplast when you change it out
less gum irritation
