"One and Only"

its an idea for a tattoo-i dunno how many derivatives of this phrase there is so ill be specific for what instance it means. im the only child my parents had together. so ill never have another brother or sister-just half bro half sis...you get the idea..

i dunno if that matters or not but just tryin to cover all my bases...thanks

A literal translation would be "unus et solus", but in this case I would do "unus solusque". The -que was an emphatic "and" that would be attached to the second word in a series to connect them more closely than just a simple "and."

Admittedly, "Unus" and "solus" have very similar meanings, so "unus solusque" is a little redundant.

if you want to make it a little more personalized and say, "One and only son," it would be "unus solusque filius."

I guess best option is "UNIGENITA" that's in English "only begotten". Other could be "UNICA".
If you want specify you're the only one daughter then you should say "UNICA FILIA".
