Legal immigrants are not a problem. Illegals are - for they are not immigrants, just people that ignore known laws and think that they shouldn't have to follow laws while milking gov. programs for every penny that they can get from them.
They (illegals) only are good for big business as they pay them less - which drives down wages overall for everyone else - which means more profit for the select few.
They don't do "jobs that Americans won't do" as proved after the meat packing raid - as well as other raids when the illegals were arrested and the jobs went back again to American citizens.
Fact is that till we have enforcement of the laws and quit the talking of 'amnesty' - there is little if any incentive for illegals to leave. Enforcement of course would change that as history has already proved.

If you are talking about the uk they on paper pay more taxes , if they are legal , and do the more menial jobs , which is good for the economy obviously .
But in the long run it puts a strain on local resources which politicians fail to recognise , creating ghettos, most of inner london is now full of african kids who have seen such hardship at home that they are immune to violence and hence the violent crime rate goes up, this is something the government fails to see , all human rights.
Australia has the right idea rent an island and if you want to live here have a career or you will be shipped back.

No i don't think you are missing something , i think you are spot on with your assessment. I heard on the radio they benefit the country by 2 pence a week , i would happily pay £20 a week , and send a 1000 of them home. If i do have to put up with them , can we make sure they speak English , if the country is good enough to live in , it's good enough to speak the language. Oh and one more thing ban them from going anywhere near the DHSS. I am sure there are many more people in the UK who feel exactly as i feel. I say lets start looking after our own people first , people like the homeless and pensioners. Well that is my rant done.

You are missing a lot. Firstly, employers have to pay legal non-Brits the minimum wage and so Brits will have to lower their expectations if they are to compete. Many Eastern Europeans for example manage to pay their way in this country and send money home to their families and all on the minimum wage - so why can't we. It is because we expect to buy expensive homes, own two cars, go on luxury holidays etc whilst many immigrants are happy to make do with the basics and help out their families at home. As regards the intimidation, I go into lots of restaurants and cafes where Polish and Kurdish people go and don't feel in the least intimidated. Why should foreign women not be "off limits" if they want to be "off limits", it is up to them not anyone else who they acquaint themselves with. You must remember that shagging about is not the done thing in many parts of the world and we must respect people's choices just as we should respect the choice of people to wear skimpy clothes and "put it about".

Their not good for the economy.
Think about it. A man wife and god knows how many children arrive. They have to be housed. The man maybe working BUT, on a low wage his rent/council tax is either paid or subsidised by us the tax payer. That's just for starters..Then....The family will have to be registered with a doctor. The children will have to go to school.Usually with special support teachers.
The list goes on.So for this ONE man that maybe working, his family are taking more out of the kitty then he's actually putting in.
How is that beneficial to the economy.?

You mean 'immigrants' I assume. I don't think you can blame immigration for the lack of affordable housing - that is more down to an increase in individuals buying flats/houses rather than families.
Unskilled labour is never going to pay well, because it's unskilled. If you want a well-paid job then you should have invested in available training. One could easily ask what you are contributing to the economy if you have no skills. The majority of Poles coming into this country DO have skills - construction skills, driving skills etc - so are filling a shortage that you are not able to.
If you are being undercut for your unskilled labour - good! That means production costs go down and therefore the cost of goods goes down for UK consumers, which mean we are better able to compete in international markets too.
Their shops and cafes are intimidating? Can't say I've found that to be the case. Possibly because you are going in with an antagonistic attitude this is coming across?
The women are off-limits? (lol). Yeah, like that's the reason you're single!
Are you missing something here? Yes. Yes you are.

I don't see how it's someone else's fault that you feel uncomfortable in a cafe staffed by foreigners.
If they don't talk to you - do you talk to them?
Blame your employers for exploiting the cheap labour, not the people who want jobs for taking the jobs offered to them.
Answerer directly above - How can an illegal immigrant milk the government? They can't announce their presence or they'll be deported, you prize fool. Illegals typically work in slave conditions.

They take away low-skilled jobs from Americans, they do not pay taxes, and they send most of their wages back to their families in their original country, which means the economy is losing that money. Tax payers have to pay for their healthcare costs. Migrants are not good here.

trouble with the UK is that its citizens are thick, the truth smacks them in the face, they moan and whinge, then four years down the line the goverment admits they were wrong, the people were right and the fucked up immigration is seen to be a greater problem than they could ever admit to.
