I am 15 years old. I weigh approx. 200 pounds. My height is 5' 10".

I have done some calorie intake calculators online, but they seem to differ a bit so I thought I would ask here. I was thinking for my weight, I should be around 180 lb as a healthy weight, no less because of my height. What do you think?

find out what your maintenance needs are first. go online and find a maintenance calculator. then reduce your maintenance intake by about 250 to 500 calories. what ever you, DO NOT DROP YOUR CALORIES TOO LOW, because after a few days you WILL stop losing weight because your metabolism will be trying to save your body from starving, hence starvation mode and you wont burn the few calories you are eating. Drink PLENTY and i do mean PLENTY of water (at least 100oz per day ) to ensure proper liver function (which absorbs excess fat) and be sure to burn 250 to 500 cals daily. do it slowly, but steadly and you will drop pounds weekly. If you are female I would say you should be about 150 lbs and Male: 170-180 depending in body composition. Female: don't drop below 1200 calories daily. Male: don't drop below 1500 calories daily. Hope this helps ya.

It is much simpler than most people try to make it.

It takes 15 calories per pound per day to maintain a weight. If you wanted to weigh 100 pounds, that would be 100 X 15 = 1500 Calories... for 200 pounds it would be 200x15=3000 Calories...

It's THAT SIMPLE If you want to weigh 100 pounds, then stick to a 1500 calorie per day diet and eventually you will weigh 100 pounds depending your skeleton structure.

Sounds like your weight issue is particularly all to your head. You have got to work on that first, earlier than establishing a eating regimen of any form. I advocate buying a e-book about anorexia and reading it. As you stated, it is not healthy. You may appear the way you want, however youre now not quite glad with your self. Anorexia doesnt simply consume away at your muscular tissues, it does a number of things to bone mass, hormones, dermis problems, and your immune process. After youve executed the correct factor and consulted your health practitioner, and educated your self about anorexia and bolemia. Then it time on your weight loss plan. Proteins are very principal to your progress and the growth of your cells, as are many vitamins and minerals. Meats that arent excessive in fats and cholestorol, like turkey and different processed meats could be high-quality to eat and digest. Youre sixteen. You are not completed developing but. Beginning a healthy food plan not, will grow you into the beatiful woman that you assume to be.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

im not sure what exact caloric intake you need everyday because i do not know your lean body mass. BUT i suggest that you eat every 2-3 hours and eat lean protein such as chicken breast and fish. you also want to eat good carbohydrates such as whole wheat breads and such, eat oatmeal or grapenuts for breakfast. get a protein shake from a supplement shop that has about 4 or 5 different sources of protein. and eat like this: meal, shake, meal, shake, meal, shake. thats 3 meals a day with 3 protein shakes, that will speed up your metabolism and keep you lean and you will have alot more energy during the day.
