Last night I had a dream where I was at a gas station and getting into my car and this alligator was standing a few feet away looking like it was about to attack me.

I am helping to care for a real alligator, do you think that could be the cause of the dream or does it mean something else?

I'm sure your just spending too much time with the alligator that's all. You aren't getting into any of that good ol Humboldt Homegrown are you? No? I didn't think so, you looked like a good girl to me. lol Next time you dream something like that respond by dreaming of turning the 'gator into fashion accessory's, that will show your dreams who's boss.

o see an alligator in your dream, symbolizes treachery, deceit, and hidden instincts. It may be a signal for you to take a new perspective on a situation. It may also represent your ability to move between the material world of waking life and the emotional, repressed world of the unconscious. Alternatively, the alligator represents healing powers and qualities.

o dream that you are running away from the alligator, indicates that you are unwilling to confront some painful and disturbing aspect of your unconscious. There is some potentially destructive emotion that you are refusing to acknowledge and
owning up to.

According to biblical interpretations, an alligator suggests that leviathan is king over the children of pride. (Psa 74:14, Job 41:1,Isa 27:1)

Helping to care for a dangerous animal does not prevent one from feeling fear. Thus often our dreams help to remove the fears from our subconsciousness; however, there seems to be a message in your dream as well.

You may be running out of energy or enthusiasm (gas station) and need to put more fuel (gas)--physical, emotional, and/or spiritual--into your system (your car) in order to face your standing fears --Mr. Alligator from Lake Mendocino is only one of them, you know the rest. . .
Thank you for sharing your dream.

Most likely yes, alligator symbolizes fear in many ways, but if in reality you do have an interaction with alligator, then your dream just reflect what your reality is like only opposite.

However, being attacked in dream could also mean you are being criticized. Maybe you have heard some words you do not like to hear. For some reasons, you projected your hatred of fear about criticism in alligator.

Hi, alot of dreams people have are manifested from there everyday experiences. Dreams come from your spirit and your spirit interprets your everyday experiences into a symbolic language when you sleep at night. So, seeing the alligator in your dream can be a reflection of a fear that he might attack when you are caring for him. However, there are two other dreams which people can have also. There is a dream from God and there is a dream from the devil.

Confucious says: "Girl who dream about alligator must buy shoes and matching handbag (leather of course)."

It's just a dream. Forget about it and get on with your life. Most people forget their dream by the time they wake up anyway.

Its probably your anxiety about helping care for a real alligator that has you all wound up.

Relax and just stay away from the alligators mouth.

dreams tend to be your mind processing what you did over the day or playing on your worries or what you were thinking about before you went to bed, from my personal experience. of course this may just be my own but whats in your brain must come from somewhere, (there are philosophical arguments which disagree but nonetheless this is my view).
just mind yourself and give the alligator my best :D
