I am 5'2 and weight 135lbs. and I use the treadmill everyday in the morning for 1 hour and half burning aprox. from 1,000 to 1,100 cals plus 30 to 40 mins of weight excercises at night. Even though I do all this instead of losing weight I am gaining more especially on my hips and thighs, so I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Forget about loosing wieght in one day... it's just not going to happen. For significant weight loss you need to exercise regularly and eat less. For you, 1000 calories is too little, you won't be able to stick to it. You're on the right track wtih the treadmill though, keep that up 3x a week and you'll loose one pound a week provided you don't eat more than you need. In 27 weeks you'll be at your goal... it seems like a long time, but it's not like you'll be 157 until then, you'll gradually look and feel better and better! And if you need motivation to exercise, keep in mind the benefits beyond mere weight loss. It will give you more energy and make you look better with a healthy glow

first of all, it is highly unlikely that you are burning that many calories in an hour and a half unless you are running very fast on a high incline. a light jog over an hour burns about 300 calories. continue your current level of activity and lower your intake. take measurements in inches and worry less about weight. muscle weighs more than fat, so as you replace fat with lean muscle mass your weight may go up.

you don't mention how many calories you eat, nor do you mention what kind of calories you eat. Both play a huge role in successful weight loss. Exercising regularly is great, but it will not accomplish weight loss by itself. It will tone, and it will increase muscle mass....so bear in mind, muscle weighs more that the same mass of fat.
