like i said before, my 12 year old daughter is using nair for her under arms and i asked if it was normal and people were calling me a bad parent. then i got mad and i looked at the bottle and it says, DO NOT USE ON face, around eyes, in nose, in ears or on nipples, perianal, oe vigina, genital areas. does anyone now disagree? it says no where that you can not use on under arms and NO i will NOT let her shave because when u shave it grows in much faster and much thicker.

It should be safe to use Nair on underarms...

However, this myth about shaving making hair grow back faster and thicker is ignorant. It doesn't. Check it out on the net somewhere. It doesn't even make sense! Why would doing something to the ends of hair make it grow faster? That's dumb.
Use Nair if you like it better, but don't make up your own "science".

under arm areas are very sensative. I used nair there a couple of times and both times i got bad allergic reactions. I wouldn't recommend it. Why don't you take her to get them stripped off (waxed) ? i think it's more sanitary & the hair won't grow so fast. I was a hairy gurl in elemantary & jr high & got made fun of alot by kids in school wish my mom was more open minded abuot letting me shave at least. I did it behind her. So anyone who doesn't agree with u letting ur gurl shave etc is lame because if u don't let her & she wants to she will do it behind your back. I'd rather know about it than find out some other way. Ur not wrong for letting her shave- ur just a concerned parent.

I agree if it works and there are not any side effects like a rash or anything, that is much more easy to do than shaving everday... Nair is extremley strong and some people can use it and some can't. I see it like waxing the underarms and I think ur daughter would let u know if she didn't want it done??

I worry about putting chemicals in the underarm area because there has been further testing done on the effects of underarm deodorant and breast tissue (which extends into the arm pits). It is thought to be the cause of the epidemic of breast cancer in women. So Nair I would put in the same category, if not more dangerous as deodorant.

If she's using it without any irritation, then there shouldn't be an issue with it. You're the Mom, and your preferences rule. And since Nair would remove hair below the skin's surface, you are correct, it would grow back somewhat slower than shaved hair.

i think of they sound like abscesses, particularly with the pus drainage. Abcesses are swollen lumps that leak yellow or green pus and are painful. Are you in addition to might experiencing pink streaking around the exterior in those areas? Then it would be cellutitis, which frequently reasons lumps that are painful and leak yellow pus. yet, they may be contaminated lymph nodes, they may be contaminated glands. they may be benign tumors or cysts. I doubt they're cancerous in case you have had them for 5 or 6 years. you ought to nevertheless bypass get them appeared at in the present day.
