She eats our regular puppy food, but sometimes we like giving her leftovers. Maybe chicken and whatnot. Is that harmful to her? She's a terrier mix.

And are there any fruits and vegetables that are good for the puppy to eat?

It is perfectly fine to feed a puppy/dog "people" food. As long as the food isn't highly processed, spiced, salted, doesn't contain onions, grapes, raisins, coffee, chocolate..

Some great People foods to give:
chicken, turkey, hamburger, beef, pork (yes pork is fine in moderation but don't give ham or leftover chinese pork),watermelon, apples, pear, green beans, carrots, sweet potato, squash, pumpkin, cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, cheese, rice cakes, cereals such as cheeros, kix..slices of hot dog, liver, heart, gizzard,

They are a great treat for your dog and very much appreciated.

It is never good to feed your dog leftovers for a variety of reasons. One being that the dog will may begin to gain weight. Another being the dog may begin to beg for your food instead of eating its own. Also, there are many, many people foods that are seriously poisonous to dogs. I'm not just talking about chocolate either. Dairy products, caffeine, onions, garlic, etc. can all be harmful. Raisins and grapes can be fatal, causing kidney failure. Here's a link for you.

the only things you can not feed your dogs for sure is - bread, it will dough up in their stomachs- cheese, can cause kidney stones- chocolate- not sure why, but you can't. it can kill them.- pork and salt, can mess up organs, AND -chicken skin.

any thing else is fine for table scraps to a certain point. meaning i would leave out the energy drinks, alchahol, and anything like that with alot of chemicals.

it is also a good idea to wait until they are older, but that's just me, ill admit i can't prove THAT theory.

good luck!

My friend almost LOST HER precious dog, Gigi to colitis (blood in the poo & vomiting) from feeding her people food. Please!

Show your dog how much you love her with holistic dog food and treats--love, a long walk--BUT NO PEOPLE FOOD!!!
