I am a disabled Marine Corps veteren and I am 6 ft and 240. I have really broad shoulders and carry my extra weight on my upper half. I know i have water weight gain from lack of working out, which was difficult to do until I got my rehibilitation.
I can run and work out, but the weight isn't dropping. I know I am losing some of the extra weight, but I am gaining muscle.

Does anyone have suggestions for dropping weight a little faster? Possibly using a Sauna or anything. I eat three squares a day and it is healthy. I consume 3 liters of water day also.
I really appreciate your responses!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Whoa! Please don't listen to those "cleanser" people, they are -way- off key! o.O

First off, I assume by eating healthy you mean that you're comsuming essential vitamins. If not you may want to re-evaluate your diet a bit. Walking, running, and weight lifting is your best bet. It may take a long time, but that's the only way you're going to lose the weight in a -healthy- way. Just keep at it and you're sure to lose weight.

Personally, I've been doing so in conjunction with daily martial arts. I'm 6'-4" and in 4 months I've gone from 320 to 280, and I'm still losing weight. It may not be nearly as quick as other diets, but it's a permanent, healthy solution.

I don't think a sauna is gonna help. Unless your cutting weight, like for a fight. I would say step up your cardio. It sucks but its the only way to get the weight off. I also don't think you are eating enough. You need to eat 5-7 small meals a day, or eat 3 good, and supplement with a meal replacement....and thanks for serving!!!- God Bless you!
