Friday, my dog drank a whole bottle of baby oil. On saturday and sunday she was laying around a lot and seemed sick. Today she woke up just fine and ate a bunch off grass outside(Which I'm sure she is going to throw up).

Should I be worried?

Check with your vet to be sure, but I'm guessing all that will happen is that you'll have one poopie puppy!

Eating grass is a sign that she is probably not feeling well and is having problems digesting the food.

Dogs have been known to do this in order to induce vomiting.

I'm not sure what kinds of other chemicals specifically go into baby oil. There are probably a few chemicals in the stuff used to scent the product or provide it with certain characteristics.

Because of this, and because it sounds like the dog is generally not feeling well, you should schedule an appointment with your veterinarian asap.

Even if she ends up being fine, it's better to be safe then sorry.

Hope this helps.

I'd take the dog to vet.
they have started putting safety caps on baby oil because
several children have died in the past few years from aspirating it into their lungs when they drank it....it coats the lungs interior and they more or less suffocate in a few days....to be safe see a vet.

Your dog may wind up getting diarrhea but she should be okay. Make sure she drinks plenty of water too.

However, if you're still worried, give the ASPCA's Poison Control at (888) 426-4435.

According to their site, "A $55 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card."

Hope this helps ease your concerns.
Good luck to you and your baby :]

it is a laxative and could have upset her digestive system,as well as other problems(it can cause lung aspiration but if she is still alive this is not the case) you should get as much bread in her as possible to absorb anything else. then buy a probiotic, acidophilus and put her on it for about a month to get the digestive tract back to normal and avoid problems in the future. I am not sure what the fragrance is in there. you should really call poison control and a vet. why haven't you already?

Wow - poopie puppy. Too funny. Just watch her, if she starts acting different, call the vet. You can also call your local poison control center and see what they have to say. Their answers will probablly be regarding humans, but you can watch your dog for some of the signs they may give you.

if she starts to get really dehydrated & can't hold down food, you should start to worry, but dogs will naturally eat grass to help them pass whatever is ailing thier bowels. just keep an eye on her, she should be fine. at worst the baby oil would've just given her an incredible enema, so that's why you want to watch to make sure she's still get enough nutrients.

It sounds like she is going to be fine. Please be careful about storing things like that & cleaning products where your dog can not get at them!!
