For instance, you could legally use it on your husband's car but not your boyfriend's car. You either have the GPS unit hard wired to the car and the company who monitors the device can tell you where the vehicle is when you call them. This is the method car dealers use. Yes, I bought a small ball for mine. You can make on by buying one of those balls on rubber strings and a paddle, they have them at a lot of the dollar stores. Or you could tape a small flag on it. These of course would go on your antenna.
