find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The best food for breakfast is oatmeal. It will keep you full til lunch. Quaker makes a 50% less sugar instant that's quite good. Cut out white bread & white pasta. Eat 100% whole wheat bread. Barilla Plus pasta is good for you & tastes great. Saute fresh vegetables in a little olive oil (spinach, zucchini, onions, carrots, etc.) add a little of the pasta water (1/3 cup or so) to the veggies& serve over the pasta - yum. After awhile, you won't miss the crap you eat now. (I'm 50, had 2 kids, 5'4" and 120 pounds) Good luck!

Drinking lots of water raises your metabolism! 10 pounds in 2 months sounds realistic. The best way to lose weight is aerobic exercise and a good diet. Power walk every day for 30 minutes at your target heart rate. http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heart.asp
This is very important because you will burn the maximum amount of fat! As far as what you eat, simply chose foods that are low fat! I eat lots of boneless skinless chicken, fish, rice, tons of veggies, fruit, lots of water, OJ, propel sports water after exercising. There are lots of healthy foods out there, you will be surprised. The key is to not over eat! Create a plan and stick to it. Also, herbal tea is a great appetite suppressant, but you need to eat so don't over do it. Good luck with your diet :-).

I don't really like giving people menu options but here are some ideas. These are not entire meals, just items you can consider.
Breakfast – One hard boiled egg, a personal sized yogurt cup, fresh fruit.
Lunch – Salads with no extras like cheese or croûtons and minimal dressing, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, small servings of lean white meat.
Dinner – Long grained brown rice, beans of any type except baked (obviously!), vegetables and again, lean small portions of white meat.
Snack on fruit and vegetables during the day. Eat small meals often. Four to six small meals a day is a good way to boost your metabolism.
Remember to watch your portion sizes and what you are drinking.

proteins, and whole grains will be helpful. But the more you excercise, the more food you will eat to keep the fuel burning.
Like today, I ate, 6 times already and I have only eaten 950 calories.
you have to work out! and drink lots of water, all day.
