Going by the standard, I can say she looks like an apple head, but that doesn't prove that she is. As a matter of fact, even if you did have papers, that doesn't mean she's purebred. She's got great ears! If she's still just a puppy, she will begin to look more and more like an apple head chi. But I don't see her changing much. She looks like a chi to me. I've been around just about every breed, and seen many variations of the chihuahua, but I am by no means an expert on breeds.

Men are so STUPID. They want to play around and then when you get pregnant they are like get rid of it or I'm not responsible. Yea, like POOF that's how it works. If she's on facebook too - let her know what kind of a jerk he is. Just copy and paste your post into an e-mail and send it off to her. It's his job to tell his parents, not yours. What you do is report him to the court when the baby is born and ask for child support. It's their job to locate him and he will have to pay you money every month in support. You say he' african but is he a U.S. citizen? If he does not pay the support and he's a citizen they will revoke his passport and take it away until he does pay. He won't be going to Africa anytime soon if that's the case. Leave him alone and then slam him with a court ordered child support notice. He can't get out of just because poof he thinks he can.

there is no way to distinguish if it is a purebred by looking at pics. And even if an AKC judge were to say yes she is, there is nothing you can do to establish AKC registration. So unless you are just dead set on having a status symbol by saying she is pure bred, then it really is a mute factor. If your sole purpose is the status of having a pure bred, then you are not going to be happy.

without papers or registration, you won't be able to prove she's a purebred. dna testing will not even prove she's a pure chi.

often times people will breed what they call "taco terriers" & they're a mix of rat terrier & chihuahua and sometimes the dog can look like a pure chi, but it's not.

there's a good chance she may be purebred, but you can't be sure & if you try to register her to any affliation, they may only let you do a partial registration since you can't prove her breeding.

Does it really matter..that baby is so ugly it's cute lol..I wonder if she is ever going to grow into her ears lol..Really it shouldn't make any difference she is to cute for her own good. Your puppy doesn't need papers for you to love her.

You should have made sure she was AKC even before getting her..then you would have known. She is still cute and she can't help she doesn't have papers and don't let her read ....if you wanted a mutt.... that would hurt her feelings.

I feel sorry for her because it isn't her fault it humans..go figure huh. Give her a good home it doesn't matter if she is purebred.

yes, she is absolutely adorable. but as in previous answers, dna test will not prove if she is a pure bred dog. didn't you ask to see the parents and the parents registration papers? did the breeder give you your own packet of akc papers to register the puppy with? generally, when you buy a pure bred dog that is the product of akc registered parents, the breeder will give you your akc papers so that you can register your puppy. if you did not get any of these from the breeder, chances are, it is probably not a pure bred dog. but, she still is cute.

yes to me that looks like a pure bred. Since those are dogs are so small it could be easy to tell if there was something else in there. Mutts arent always bad though, you can tell if its purebred also because pure bred's have alot more health problems then mutts, just for the fact of overbreeding over the years.

I have a dog that I love more than anything. Assuring myself concerning her linage did occure to me, but it was quite impossilbe.

You see this little heart of mine is a thorough bred Costa Rican Perra de Calle (street dog) and she could not be more precious if she were the kennel Klub Best of Show Winner. She won me, and that has been quite enough.

She looks purebred to me. I thought it interesting that the standard says regarding feet: "Neither hare foot nor cat", which is exactly how her feet look.
Cute little thing!!!
