Most anemia is caused by either bleeding, iron deficiency, vitamin deficiency, or problems with red cell destruction.

Anemia caused by bone marrow failure syndromes, diseases such as myelodysplastic syndrome (aka refractory anemia), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, aplastic anemia, and certain myeloproliferative syndromes, do have the potential to progress to leukemia.

Ask your doctor, if you don't already know, why you have anemia.

No, they are not related. Anemia is caused by not enough red blood cells, either from blood loss or iron deficiency. Leukemia is a cancer, usually the white blood cells start eating the others.

Anemia is usually a symptom of something bigger. If there is something else going on in your body, oftentimes you will become anemic. Leukemia is a pretty harsh illness.

No, it does not. Anemia is iron poor blood. Leumkemia is a form of cancer and is a disease process. They are two different entities.
