The strangest thing I've eaten by most standards is moose and caribou. Also eel and raw fish.
My sister lives in Alaska and she and her husband hunt every September, for moose and caribou. She gave me some of their moose steaks, .... And their moose-and-caribou 'hotdogs'. It was all wonderful!
I also LOVE eel! Especially 'unagi', the freshwater eel that is served at sushi restaurants.
Raw oysters are the best... mostly, kumamoto oysters, on the half shell with a nice champagne mingonette.
YUMMY!!!
Ya'll need to try some of this!

Roasted dog. It isn't something you find much of in America, but the Laotian immigrants love it. Some neighbors cooked it up and I tried it just because. It had a distinctive taste. (And before you people get all irate about it, the dog had been killed shortly before, injected with an air bubble by a worker at the Humane Society--It was too vicious to be adopted. The Laotians bought the body, just as though they had adopted a live animal.)

Most fast-food products. Burgers produced by McDonbuggerkingfc et al bear no resemblance to a true German Hamburger. I'm glad that they call their fries 'fries' - if they put the word 'French' in front these purveyors would be lynched by about eight million Frenchmen, and I'd be right there with the snail-eaters. Vive la France

I love raw honeycomb tripe (cow's stomach lining) with vinegar. I also tried a worm once. I've already tried anything I would be willing to try.

I've had jellyfish, quail eggs (raw and cooked), salmon roe, chicken feet, emu, grubs, kangaroo, alligator, ostrich, stomach, tongue, eel, tripe soup, curdled blood soup.
I would be willing to try brains, shark's fin, bird's nest soup and guinea pig.

I'd like to try crocodile as I'm told it tastes like pork.
