I believe in God and all his works... I go to church here and there with my family and/or my girlfriend... I even worry that if I do something against what God wanted, like swearing or don't pray as much as I should... Does this make me a bad person being a Catholic?

Faith alone is sufficient, for God will honor your faith. But it is what you fail to do that will bring you out of God's favor (James 4:17 KJV). You can test the your Catholic beliefs and rituals by comparing it to what is said in the Holy Bible (ie. ten commandments Exodus 20:1-7 KJV). If the Catholic religion does not stack up with God's requirements, then search for another that can achieve those standards. May God help you search for answers and truth....

I'm wondering about that girlfriend. Remember " Thou shall not commit adultry " is one of the very most important commandments. Don't fall for that confession and forgiveness trick either. That was invented in the dark ages to ontrol the people.
The king had control over the few years of people's lives, but if you don't play footsie with the priest, he can send you down forever. Imagine the mind that thought that one up.

No you live a perfectly normal life (from the sounds of it) though just because you go to church every sunday and try to abstain from sinning that your being a truly good person in the eyes of god. Try to get more involved in your church if your not all ready. Volentear and get a spiritual director that will help guide you in the direction that your seeking and never forget that jesus is truely in the sacrament of the eucharist...

No it does not make you a bad person or a bad Catholic. We are all sinners and sometimes we step back and do things we shouldnt. Time to step up again and pray and confess and try to walk the narrow path again. God Bless

If you have asked Jesus into your heart you are saved because you already believe that Jesus is God's Son and He died on the cross for your sins. You believe in the trinity..I used to go to a catholic church and I know the prayers.Jesus loves you and you love Jesus.

Thats the whole point of us living here...we are human and swearing and making wrong choices is what we call SIN...as long as u pray about it and ask for REPENTANCE....God LOVES YOU and he will forgive you if it comes from your heart....so dont worry your only normal.

I'm not Catholic, but I believe God forgives those who repent and that one sin won't send you to Hell, but you should not do it anyways. besides damaging a relationship with Christ, it can form habits and change how you view sin, which can be pretty bad in the long run....

bad person? no.

"All sin and fall short of the Glory of God"

Pray to God, read the new test yourself! Start at Matthew and keep going. Pray first for guidance.
Seek God. Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.

Dear Brother
We are humans and we are not error free, but God say that He will forgive you if you repent to him. but he never forgives creating partners with him.
