That's because flea shampoos are often rubbish I'm afraid, as you're discovering!!
Try a product from your vets - Frontline is generally considered the best one, although Advantage and Revolution are good too. They're all spot-ons - they just go on the skin at the back of the neck (and make sure it IS the skin, not the fur or it won't work) so no need for messy baths. Pet shop spot-ons aren't great and some are dangerous, so best to stick to the nice safe EFFECTIVE veterinary ones!
You'll need to spray your house too - fighting flea infestations involves treating both the animal and the environment, which is why Frontline Plus has been developed - once fleas have been eradicated, use of Frontline Plus on your dog every six weeks will keep fleas off both your dog and the environment by killing the flea eggs too,

Not only will the fleas get on the doggie but where ever the dog is. You may need to have all of your inside of your house sprayed. and outside as well. Fleas aren't the easiest little critters to get rid of. If its an outside dog you could get some sevenen dust and throw it in the dogs house and where ever it likes to hang out.

Take the dog to the vet.
They have a pill called Cap Star it will kill the fleas on the dog in about 24 hours.
Then get your dog on a monthly topical spot on program.
But you are now going to have to treat your house. Fleas spend most of their time off the dog and living in your carpets and bedding and furniture.
Spray everything in the house. You may need to treat for several months to rid your home of fleas.
Keep after it and from now on keep the dog on one of the monthly spot on treatments they are a great preventative.

In addition to your pet being cleaned you also have to clean your house from the fleas too. You could talk to people at your local pet store, vet. office or just go to local store and get some flea bombs.
Its very hard to get rid of those little pests!!
GOOD LUCK!! :)

lime your yard, treat your whole house, ask a vet, ask a groomer. You may wash her but the fleas get back on her from somewhere. They are probably in your yard or your house.

Use Advantage or Revolution or Frontline. I know they are expensive, but they work really well and are worth the money.
